According to immigration sources, two traffickers brought three Rohingyas to the Benapole check-post, with the intention of trafficking them to India. During interrogation, the detainees confessed to using fake information in the passports, and faking the passports, to get to India. Benapole check-post immigration officer, Abul Basher, told Dhaka Tribune: "We have handed over the detainees to Benapole port police station, on charges of faking passports and trafficking.
