BGB 59 Battalion recovered the weapons on Tuesday. A "gunfight" took place between the BGB and the miscreants but there was no report of anyone being injured. At a press briefing on Wednesday, Lt Col SM Salauddin, commanding officer of BGB 59 Battalion, said: “Acting on a tip-off, we stood by at the Refugeepara area of the Telkupi border. When the BGB confronted them, they dropped everything and ran back into India.”Subsequently, BGB searched the motorcycle and found the firearms and ammunition.
