Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Nupur Prasad said they received a tip-off regarding the duo’s arrival at the Delhi Public Library near the mandi for robbery. When the team asked the accused to stop, they whipped out a countrymade pistol and fired at the officers. The accused were overpowered and the scooty seized,” said Ms. Prasad. “They were on the prowl for easy targets near the mandi as it is a busy market,” the officer said.
