In a post on February 8, 2026, the Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Agbodza, said investigations were advancing with the involvement of relevant state agencies. The police are in touch with the owners of the vehicle, the Ministry of Roads and Highways, and other relevant bodies to advance the investigation, assess the level of damage, and prescribe the necessary repairs,” he stated. This follows an earlier statement issued on February 6, in which the Roads Minister called on the owner of the vehicle involved to cooperate fully with the authorities. Kwame Agbodza stressed that timely action and accountability are essential to restoring the damaged infrastructure and preventing further disruption to road users along the busy N1 Highway.
