Around 99 per cent of the civil works under the City Road Improvement Project (CRIP) has been completed. Pending CRIP works include relayingtwo service roads, developingVanchiyoor Junction Parking facilityOnce the service roads are resurfaced, the parking problems in Melepazhavangady will be solved to some extent. Resurfacing of service roads from the Power House and Thakaraparambu end of the Melepazhavangady flyover and Vanchiyoor-Old Collectorate-Uppidamoodu road, and development of Vanchiyoor Junction are pending. A TRDCL official said permission was granted by the Kerala Road Fund Board (KRFB) to cut the five-metre-wide road by two metres to lay pipeline.
