Mr. Vijayan said the Kochi Cancer Centre issue had come up for discussions about Kochi’s development here on Saturday. “In fact, sufficient money has been allocated for the speedy development and operationalisation of the cancer centre,” he said. “The cancer centre will be developed in a timely manner, and money will not be a constraint,” he said. Earlier, a statement issued by the district unit of the CPI (M) here said a part of the Rs.250 crore allotted for healthcare in the current financial year would go to the cancer centre. The Chief Minister handed over the key to the mother of the victim.
