The accident occurred at the intersection in front of the Rajuk Bhaban around 8:15am on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Noorjahan Begum, 45, and rickshaw-puller Khokon Mia, 40. The traffic sergeant working in the area caught the driver of the bus and handed him over to Motijheel Police Station, Shahjahan said. He said the women were perhaps going to office as they were carrying tiffin boxes. Nurjahan was declared dead by doctors at DMCH while the rickshaw-puller died later, Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia at the police camp there said.
