Obaidul Khan, prime suspect in the murder of Willes Little Flower School student Suraiya Akhter Risha, was arrested because a butcher in Nilphamari recognised him and tipped police off. Speaking to the Dhaka Tribune on Thursday, the butcher, Dulal Hossain, said he saw Obaidul wandering around the village market of Sonara in Domra upazila, Nilphamari early in the morning on Wednesday and found his movement suspicious. His behaviour seemed odd, so I called him and took him to a tea stall nearby,” said Dulal. Sources said just the night before, police had raided Sonara and the nearby areas on information, looking for Obaidul. Some locals in Sonara also said they had spotted Obaidul in the market on Tuesday night.
