The third day of the men's water polo tournament kicked off in green-tinged water after the diving pool turned green yesterday. There was no sign of any issue with the water polo pool during the first day of the women's competition. Sitting right next to the murky diving well at the Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre, it looks as if the water polo pool is turning green with envy. "FINA can confirm that the reason for the unusual water colour...is that the water tanks ran out some of the chemicals used in the water treatment process," it said in a statement. But if the water gets any darker, it could grow more physical since it will be hard for the referees to determine what's going on underwater.
