Judge Md Hafizur Rahman recorded the statement of Rifat’s father Dulal Sharif, also the case’s plaintiff, against the accused on the first day of the trial, said Public Prosecutor (PP) Mostafizur Rahman Babul. Mostafizur, who represented the state during the hearing, also urged the court to order a medical examination to confirm the actual age of five minor accused. The next day, Rifat's father filed the case of murder at Sadar police station. A Barguna court indicted the 10 adult accused, including Minni, in the case on January 1.
