Sharath Kumar, the company's human resource administrator, said, "Cycle outings have provided our employees the twin joys of bonding and fitness. They ride long distances during weekends on their own," Sharath added.For the past three years, Infosys has been promoting cycling among its employees at the Electronics City campus. The long rides, which involve riding a distance of around 100km, generally have Kanakapura Road, Nandi Hills and Chikkatirupathi as destinations. "Those who go on long rides feel confident about participating in cycle tours and brevets (self-supported long rides)," Gangadhar added. Active participation in these rides has also added to the number of employees cycling to work, which now stands at 60.
