Elation found expression in more than one tongue as the winners of the second Economic Times Startup Awards gathered to be feted by peers, senior ministers and policy makers at a glittering ceremony in Bengaluru on Saturday. There was bonhomie amongst rivals, awe at meeting role models and above all exultation at having capped a milestone on a journey that most believe has only just begun — of building the next generation of blue-chip corporations that can win both at home and abroad. "My biggest observation was the increasing camaraderie and coming together of the "made in India" entrepreneurs. And increased acknowledgement by policy-makers of the need to support them and their innovation," said Avnish Bajaj , founder at Matrix Partners, who bagged the Midas Touch Award for Best Investor. Sachin Bansal, cofounder of Flipkart who was a member of the jury that chose the winners, noted the "emergence of healthcare startups".One such, Mitra Biotech, which helps personalise delivery of drugs for cancer patients, bagged the award for Top Innovator.
