THE AFL’s decision to force Richmond to wear its canary yellow guernsey against Adelaide in Saturday’s AFL Grand Final has been labelled a disgrace by the SuperFooty Podcast’s Mick Warner. Warner says both the timing and the decision to stop the Tigers from wearing their traditional black with yellow sash on Grand Final day were appalling. “Why would you release, five minutes after Richmond win, ‘by the way, you’ve got to wear a yellow jumper’. Two year’s ago the AFL allowed Hawthorn to wear its traditional jumper in the grand final against West Coast and declared ladder position was not a factor in determining grand final strips. Tensions were high in the SuperFooty Podcast bunker as Mick, Mark Robinson and Lauren Wood had a robust discussion about the issue.
