DHAKA, April 8, 2026 (BSS) - The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today approved in-principle a total of six proposals, including procurement of 3 lakh metric tons of diesel, EPI vaccines through UNICEF and construction of two major bridges under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative. The committee also approved in principle two bridge construction projects under PPP initiative proposed by the Bridges Division. Under the proposals, one lakh metric tons of EN590 10 PPM diesel will be imported from YAR Energy AG through direct procurement method under international purchase. Another one lakh metric tons of 10-50 PPM diesel will be imported from K & R International Trading Company through direct procurement. Besides, one lakh metric tons of EN590 10 PPM sulfur diesel will be imported from M/s Sikder International through direct procurement.
