If Richie McCaw rips flesh off his shins in the South Island mountains he might wish he was rolling up his sleeves and keeping baby Charlotte happy at home. Two years ago the former All Blacks captain and wife Gemma completed the 30.5km mountain run event of the Coast to Coast, and for McCaw there were to be some painful lessons along the way. It is not just quite as easy to do that in the last month, but I have still fitted it in. After that last year we thought we needed something to challenge us and the iconic event of the Coast to Coast, I have always wanted to do it.
