The listing status will be transferred from AirAsia Bhd to AirAsia Group Bhd (AAGB) by the middle of the year. It will focus on shorter domestic routes this year allowing for shorter turnaround time. It has over 60,000 weekly seats in the domestic market in 2017 and the numbers are growing by the week as it sees new opportunities to expand. It added that “Malindo and MAS are better off picking a fight in the international market.”That explains the enthusiasm Riad has over the domestic market. “There is demand for domestic flights and we want to put in capacity where there is potential,” Riad says.
