The route through which the rhinos from Nepal entered BiharPatna, Sept. 1: The floods that hit Bihar and Nepal on August 12 after severe rainfall were so devastating that rhinoceroses from the neighbouring country were swept with the torrent into the state. The Nepal side of the rescue team has over 50 persons, including eight doctors, two gunmen, forest officials and labourers. On the other hand, the Bihar team consists of 200 forest officials and labourers, besides heavy equipment and machinery. Nepal officials also got in touch with us and since then we have been on our toes," said Amit Kumar. Environment and forest department officials are busy assessing the losses to wildlife, forest cover and green cover in the floods.
