President Mahama granted pardon to the Montie 3 following a recommendation by the Council of State. This move of the President, the NPP said in a statement is never the best for the country’s democracy. We are indeed disappointed in the president of the Republic His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for this singular act which appears to be an endorsement of behaviours unacceptable in our society. We wish to state clearly that the NPP abhors disrespect for authority and would not associate with this action taken by the president.
