Kpokpogbligbli was first mentioned in court by Alistair Tairo Nelson, one of the two Montie FM panellists, as the disease that caused him to vent his spleen on the Supreme Court judges. Addressing journalists on Tuesday, August 30, Rev Martey said kpokpogbligbli is a word with its etymology in two Ga words – kpokpo and gbligbli. Kpokpo, he explains, means shake in Ga while gbligbli means “violently” or “vigorously”. Rev Prof Martey also denied claims he is in bed with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), saying as a “complex” and “full” professor, he cannot sell his conscience to a political party.
