Joe and Eileen Gundry don’t mind the construction noise at their new home in Cromwell’s Golden View Lifestyle Village. A Cromwell retirement village’s quick uptake shows the need for elderly housing in the town, its sales manager says. The first four units are now occupied in the 7ha site of the $60million Golden View retirement village and another will be filled next week. The plan was to have 25 units built, and residents moved in, by July. The retirement village would also include a hospital and care facility with a hospice ward and dementia unit.
