There are two new faces on the Nelson Marlborough District Health Board despite more than 50 per cent of voting papers being left blank or with votes that could not be counted. Fifteen candidates were vying for the seven seats on the Nelson Marlborough District Health Board. Martin de Ruyter Retired orthopedic surgeon and newly elected Nelson Marlborough District Health Board member Allan Panting. Both Panting and Vallance are retired doctors who have worked in the Nelson Marlborough region.
