The reality is that much climate change action happens in silos. A distinct gap between the Global North and the Global South seems to persist. Here, the gap between the Global North and the Global South is painfully apparent. The reality is that the Global South lacks the funding and resources to take on this fight alone. Yet, only $83.3 billion was provided and mobilized by developed countries for climate initiatives in developing countries in 2020, $16.7 billion short of the annual goal.
