Retail investors hit by Manpasand fiasco: Are mutual fund managers vetting stocks properly?

Investors in Manpasand Beverages have been left with a bitter aftertaste with the free-fall in the drinks maker’s share price. These small investors would have together seen market value erosion of around Rs 50 crore. Motilal Oswal Multicap 35 and SBI Magnum Midcap’s have investments to the tune of Rs 233 crore and Rs 105 crore, respectively.
