The recent wave of nationwide demonstrations has once again been marred by acts of violence, vandalism and looting. Kenya prides itself as a nation governed by the rule of law, and it is imperative that this principle is upheld. The full force of law must be applied to send a clear message that such behaviour will not be condoned. Anything less would be a disservice to the vast majority of Kenyans who are exercising their right to protest peacefully and constructively.
