The United States of America announced the closure of their Embassy in Nairobi on Thursday. The embassy stated that it would be closed for the day to observe the US Independence Day. The US Independence Day, popularly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States. "The Embassy will be closed on July 4, 2024, in observance of U.S. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics and concerts.
