PULAU INDAH: The onus is on the Selangor government to ensure that the rights of the different races and religions are respected in any events that are to be held in the state. Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali said this was important and it is the responsibility of the state government. "It is the state government's policy and stance to ensure the rights of different races and religion are respected and protected. We need to guarantee that while ensuring the organiser adheres to the stipulated regulations imposed by the state or the local authorities. MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai had reportedly said the event was cancelled due to security concerns.
