When a volunteer went to the place to rescue the family, she found that one of the puppies had already been crushed to death. The condition of the emaciated mother and her puppies were pitiful when the MDDB volunteer removed them from the jetty. "The puppies and their mother are all okay now and the little ones are ready for adoption," said MDDB adoption coordinator Christine Lai. According to Lai, the three surviving puppies will be among the dozen puppies that will be up for adoption at the MDDB adoption drive Sunday at Jaya One, Section 13/6, Petaling Jaya from 11am to 6pm.
