The Transport Minister said se­­veral interested parties had submitted tenders for the project ahead of the deadline by the end of next month. The Land Public Transport Com­­mission opened the tender in Janua­ry with the project implementation scope to include comprehensive plan­­ning, design, finance, construction, operation, maintenance and up­­­grade of the KL-Klang BRT project. “The project will contribute to easing traffic congestion on the highway and improving land transport connectivity,” he said. He added that with projects such as the KL-Klang BRT, the ministry was expecting 1.3 million public transport ridership daily in the Greater Klang Valley. “We believe with the launch of the LRT extension lines and MRT, there will be tremendous growth of reliability in public transport,” he said.
