Police are at a street on the North Shore this afternoon following reports of a person with a firearm in the area. A number of residents have reported seeing armed police officers on the corner of Lysander Crescent and Rangatira Rd in Beach Haven, around 3.30pm. A police spokeswoman confirmed police were called to the area. "They'd been given information that there was possibly someone with a firearm at an address and we checked it - and there wasn't.'' Members of the public were quick to go online to report what they could see.
