Deputy Police Commissioner Wally Haumaha's promotion is the subject of a top-level inquiry, and bullying allegations are being investigated by the Independent Police Conduct Authority. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says the report into high-ranking cop Wally Haumaha's appointment will be released "very shortly". The final report for a Government inquiry into Haumaha's promotion to deputy commissioner was received by Internal Affairs Minister Tracey Martin on Friday. "The minister over the weekend received the report, I'm yet to see it myself personally," Ardern said on Monday.
