Saints backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is expected to re-sign with the Saints, according to a report by the NFL Network's Jane Slater. Bridgewater was acquired by the Saints last August for a third round pick in a trade with the New York Jets. On the day after the NFC championship game, Bridgewater talked about his first season with the Saints. According to the NFL Network report, the Miami native had a better deal with the Miami Dolphins, but "values the locker room culture and prospect of one day becoming the Saints starting quarterback." He completed 14 of 23 passes for 118 yards and one touchdown in his first season with the Saints.
