A pro-choice activist is going to compete against Rónán Mullen for an NUI seat in the Seanad. Ber Grogan, who campaigned for the repeal of the Eighth Amendment and was an organiser for the Dublin North West Together for Yes group, formally launched her campaign yesterday, a day after Claire Cullen Delsol, who campaigned for repeal after losing a baby to a foetal abnormality, sought nominations to run for Waterford council. Ms Grogan said she was campaigning on a platform of “equality and fairness,” with a focus on health education and animal welfare.
