Kanie Wesso, has called for the immediate investigation and prosecution of the men linked to the humiliating treatment of two women in Numopoh, Sinoe County on allegations of witchcraft. Rep. Wesso described the video of the two women, stripped naked and being publicly whipped, which is widely circulated on social media as appalling. This inhumane act, Rep. Wesso has condemned it in the strongest terms against those women, who he said are mothers and their rights should be respected irrespective of any allegations levied against them. Let the Government of Liberia act immediately”.
