Wajir MCAs have dropped their bid to impeach Governor Mohamed Abdi. The decision on Thursday came following consultations among leaders from Wajir in a bid to try and broker a deal between the county executive and the assembly. On Wednesday last week, ward reps led by Benane MCA Abdi Mohamed filed an impeachment motion against Governor Mohamed Abdi. The MCAs accused Abdi of wanton corruption, gross misconduct and abuse of office. The meetings we have been having for the last one week are finally bearing fruit.
