Shots were fired in North Central Regina — specifically the 700 block of Garnet Street — shortly after 3 a.m. CST, police said in a news release. A Regina community that has been the scene of extreme violence in recent weeks is once again the focus of police attention following reports of early morning gunfire. Homicide on 700 block of GarnetPolice said they were continuing to investigate the matter. While police did not make any link to an earlier case, the city's first homicide happened on Feb. 20 on the 700 block of Garnet Street. Police said two groups of people were on Garnet Street when shots were fired.
