Come sail away with a fleet of small remote-controlled sailboats, catching the breeze as they glide around the pond behind Ashland Recreation Area. You needn’t be an experienced skipper to maneuver one of these boats. Simply join The Villages Model Yacht Squadron and they’ll teach you how to control one of three classes of boats: the EC12, Soling One Meter and Micro Magics. Even if you don’t want to be a sailor, you can be a spectator and watch as the squadron hosts the 2017 Soling 1M National Championship Regatta.
