IT has been four years since Selangor last won the Malaysia Cup. And the Red Giants hope to end the drought by winning it for the 34th time this season. Selangor’s Australian-born defender Taylor Regan hopes to emulate his countryman Robert Cornthwaite, who led the Red Giants to the Malaysia Cup in 2015. Selangor last met JDT in the Malaysia Cup in 2017. Meanwhile, Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari hopes the Red Giants will beat JDT and reach the Malaysia Cup final for the first time since 2016.
