McIlroy eagled the par-5 eighth to match Reed for the lead briefly at 9-under, but that lit a fire under Reed, who birdied the eighth, ninth and 10th holes to surge ahead alone again. The 14-time Major winner fired a level-par 72 to stand on 4-over 220 after 54 holes in his first Major championship since 2015.
