Recto says Senate should ‘carve budget space’ for funds needed to help Mindanao quake victims 0 SHARES Share it! Recto made the call as the Senate resumes its sessions this week after a month-long recess. The Senate finance panel is expected to resume deliberations on the proposed P4.1-trillion national budget for 2020, to ensure its enactment before the year ends. “We have seven weeks to carve budget space for the reconstruction of the quake-damaged areas,” he said. Recto proposed that whatever amount Congress and the Executive Department will earmark for rehabilitation and reconstruction be clearly tagged as such.
