Parliament has been recalled to deliberate on a Ford Expedition car gift received by President John Dramani Mahama from a Burkinabe contractor. But at a press conference on Wednesday, August 31, the Majority described the move as “a needless waste of scarce resources and precious time”. The Majority says it will stop the Minority from the “distraction” the members want to plunge the country into. But the Majority says nowhere in the motion “is there the remotest suggestion of impeachment of the president”.
