But I have wondered from time to time what life would be like if I were a man. I know that being a man can be a prison in other ways. Among the top firms in the US, “for each woman, there are four men named John, Robert, William or James”. Were I a man, or had I a woman as partner, I might have made very different choices about marriage and children.
