Police say several people have died after crash involving two lorries and a minibus near Newport PagnellSeveral people have died after a motorway crash involving two lorries and a minibus on the M1 near Newport Pagnell, Thames Valley police have said. Officers were called to the scene of the crash on the southbound carriageway at 3.15am. Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and are being held in custody. Ch Insp Henry Parsons, from Thames Valley police, said: “Emergency services are currently on the scene responding to this collision and road closures are in place. “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to officers to please contact us.” People can call the Thames Valley police on 101 quoting URN 214 of 26 August.
