The site clearance certificate of the errant realtor, identified as Finlay Properties Ltd, was also cancelled. Moreover, the realtor was asked to suspend construction of the 18-storey "Finlay MN Marigold" project in Katalganj. DoE Director (Chittagong Metro) Mohammad Nurullah Noori fined the real estate firm during a hearing held at his office on Tuesday. Recently, a team led by DoE Deputy Director Mia Mahmudul Hoque inspected the spot and found that the realtor had flattened the hills. Speaking to Dhaka Tribune, Mia Mahmudul Hoque said the same realtor was fined Tk12 lakh for levelling 12,000 cubic feet of hills in the same area on September 9, 2019.
