Masum Billah, 26, was arrested under the Bangladesh Digital Security Act. Shyamnagar Police Station OC Nazmul Huda said that acting on a tipoff, a team led by SI Anwar arrested Masum from his residence in Shyamnagar. "Masum posted offensive status comments about Momtaz on his Facebook account," he added. Shahidur Rahman, the joint general secretary of Singair District unit Awami League, filed the case under the Digital Safety Act with Singair police station in Manikganj on March 5.
