Lucknow, Feb. 18: Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati today said she was the "real daughter of Uttar Pradesh", widening the web of relationships the ongoing elections in the heartland have thrown up so far. "Akhilesh Yadav is a tainted chief minister and he is heavily banking on his uncles, (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi and BJP boss Amit Shah. The BSP leader's comments came two days after Modi had said in Barabanki that he was an adopted son of Uttar Pradesh. "I had got a resolution passed in the Assembly for a separate Bundelkhand, when I was chief minister," she said. Mayawati had sent one such proposal to the UPA government in 2010, when she was chief minister.
