In 2015, after a humiliating sweep against Washington, Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey could have been fired. In 2017, Casey could have been fired after a Cleveland sweep, but he was allowed to oversee the Raptors’ culture reset instead. Still, Toronto won 59 games without a genuine superstar, and the Raptors were a consistently hard-working and effort-driven team. And, in Game 4, the Raptors suffered their worst loss of the season, and Casey said he thought they would compete harder.
