Multiple power outages, orange warningEnvironment Canada has upgraded its existing weather warnings for the Central Coast to an orange warning under its new colour-coded warning system.
As of Monday afternoon, the north and central coasts were dealing with multiple power outages, including more than 600 customers without power due to a substation fault in Bella Bella.
The #BC River Forecast Centre has upgraded the High Streamflow Advisory to a Flood Watch for:
• Northern #VancouverIsland.
• Western Vancouver Island.
• Central Coast incl.
's River Forecast Centre upgraded high streamflow advisories to flood watches on Sunday for the northern and western portions of Vancouver Island, as well as for the Central Coast.
"Current forecasts indicate that multiple pulses of precipitation may impact the region through early to mid-week," the flood watch advisory for the Central Coast says.
