Manila City government is conducting clearing operations against illegal vendors in Raon. Operatives from Manila City Hall's Department of Services (DPS) are demolishing the illegal stalls from Rizal Avenue up to Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo. Motorists and owners of establishments in the area relieved as traffic congestion has eased and people may now use the pedestrian lanes. Truckloads of garbage are being removed as a result of the campaign. Raon is dubbed as Manila's electronics capital.
