In the morning, intern doctors demonstrated with a human chain in front of the hospital and the Civil Surgeon’s Office in support of their strike. A small number of the intern doctors went to their duties in the afternoon, following assurances of redressal from the authorities. She said the intern doctors are protesting only to cover up the real issue. Acting Director Dr Sahadat Hossain of Rangpur Medical College Hospital said hospital authorities are investigating the Monday night incident.
