Ramadan blessing for young 'kuih kapit' entrepreneur

BUTTERWORTH: In the past, ‘kuih kapit’ (love letters) is something which is more synonymous with the Chinese community. However, with Malaysia being a melting pot of various cultures, kuih kapit can now be enjoyed during most festive seasons, including Hari Raya. For 28-year-old entrepreneur, Nur Farrah Diba Azhar, kuih kapit is now part of the delicacies she sells during Ramadan, in preparation for Hari Raya. For this Ramadhan month, Nur Farrah will produce about 10,000 jars of numerous delicacies, including her special kuih kapit. The idea of selling kuih kapit started when her supplier refused to accept her orders, which prompted her to start making it on her own with the help of her family members.
